Infants & Toddelrs

Our infants and toddlers share a room but can have very different schedules. Each infant is on a different schedule and will have different feeding/diapering/ napping times depending on the day. As infants grow into toddlers their schedule with become more streamlined and fit into the outlined schedule below. it is important that an infant has a steady consistent daily routine no matter what the age and occasion because this gives them security in what comes next. Infants and toddlers have a very good sense of time. They show and tell us by cues of crying, comfortability, and fussiness. As parents and teachers these are important for us to recognize and know so we can be consistent with their schedule as well!

Preschool & Pre-K

Our preschool and pre-k classrooms are designed for three to five year olds in a mixed age setting. The maximum group size is 10. ALL aspects of the program are designed to support children’s growth and development. Decisions ranging from the physical set-up of the furniture and materials in the classroom to the selection of books in the library, to the type of tomato plant growing in our garden are all focused, intentional, and grounded in the foundational practices that guide our school. Teachers observe children and use their interests to shape the curricular choices provided in the classroom—higher order thinking and academic skills are infused throughout each learning experience.
